Not even a single hair strand was out of place. You can also easily recreate this look by using some product to keep your hair in place and then combing sideways.

Steps In Getting A Pompadour Buzzcut Haircut

The pompadour buzzcut haircut was among the best haircuts Jack Dempsey ever tried. Here is how you can get the same cut at home.

how to do jack dempsey haircut

Step 1: Get your supplies and prep your hair

The first step is to wash your hair thoroughly and shampoo it so there is no oiliness left on your scalp. Then you can dry your hair and then start with the buzzcut.

Make sure you have hair-cutting scissors, a comb, and some clips to keep your hair away while cutting the other area.

Step 2: Buzzcut the sides

Using the comb, section your hair so that you know the area on which the pompadour will be styled. This portion will have the longest hair.

You can use clips to do this as it will ensure your hair is out of the way. Using a handheld mirror, stand in front of a full-length mirror to ensure accuracy.

Step 3: Cut the sides

You can use an electric shaver to get rid of the hair on the side of the pompadour. This will be easy to do and quick but you need to make sure that you take your time doing this slowly.

This will allow you to be precise. You want to ensure that you do this to the back of the head too because it needs to be shaved.

Step 4: Part hair before cutting top

Now your hair should be wet. If it is not wet then spray some water on it. Create a triangle part starting from one end of the front portion with the point of the triangle being on the top of the head.

This is not cutting the layer of the pompadour different from the hair at the back. Use a clip to secure this portion of hair.

Step 5: Cut the remaining

Next, you want to cut the hair that falls behind the triangle part you just created. Take a section of hair starting from the point of the triangle part to the back and put it between your fingers then cut it to the same length.

Then follow the head shape and bring in a vertical section of hair to cut again.

Step 6: Blend the cuts

You need to continue doing this to ensure that the hair has a flow and it is not randomly cut at different lengths on the sides. It has to look like easy-flowing layers.

Once you are done with this you can move to the triangle portion that you had put clips on earlier.

Step 7: Cut the hair closest to the forehead

Now you will cut the hair at the front. If you want hair that falls back easily then don’t cut too much hair because short hair will fall to the sides rather than the back.

Use your fingers as a guide to cut the hair and then cut it. Comb and check if the hair looks as you wanted!
